It is only January 9th and the overwhelming feeling of to do lists are inevitable when you think BIG, DREAM large and are a NO excuses kinda of GIRL. This is REAL life.

When you start feeling yourself getting frustrated/overwhelmed, remind yourself that it is a sign you are AMBITIOUS! Yes, YOU, you expect more out of life than most people. Praise God immediately that He made you with a dream in your heart. God already knows the desires of your heart. All we need to do is simply say “Help me Lord” and He will swoop in and give you a peace that passes all understanding. We don’t even have to STOP and say this. We can keep going and call out and He will give you exactly what you need at the moment you need it. Remember, I didn’t say “want”. I said “need”.

From one ambitious woman to another – Make it an amazing day!

Really? Are you kidding me? Profiting from trials?

James – New Testament – Chapter 1 says “count is all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.”

I wonder how many of you are facing great trials today. It is all part of the process. Perspective is everything. Your purpose is tied to your passion, your passion is tied to your perspective which is ultimately tied to your plan. Revisit your purpose today and make sure that it flows from things you value, your passion will be re-ignited, and your plan will start working again.

One of my favorite scriptures: Gal 6:9 “Do not grow weary in well doing but in due time, you shall reap your harvest.”

Faithful is buying into your beliefs. Faithfulness is being TESTED on those beliefs.

Very much like Justification and Sanctification which are really BIG WORDS and hard to wrap our heads around. I took a bible study on Romans several years ago and gained a better understanding on those two BIG WORDS.

Justification – is the state of being justified – stamped with the seal of Jesus Christ and accepting He is your Lord and Savior

Sanctification – is the state of being sanctified – working out your gift of salvation. Testing of your faith produces perseverance.

We are the 3rd day into the New Year 2013 and I wonder if anyone is already starting to compromise on their goals/resolutions. The excitement and conviction that is with us on New Year’s Day tends to wane quickly after we start working the daily plan if we don’t keep our perspective in check. Love this quote: “If you compromise, you will lose what you compromised to get.” WOW! That is a powerful statement. If you hold onto to your faith and priorities through the fiery furnace of life and won’t bow to other temptations, you won’t burn. Something miraculous will happen to deliver you because your faith is your victory.

Today, visit your New Year Day’s excitement and adjust your perspective, adjust your plans if you need to but never, ever, ever GIVE UP. The deadline may need to be adjusted but never give up on the goal.

Resolution – the act of resolving or determining upon an action or course of action, method, procedure, etc.

the mental state or quality of being resolved or resolute; firmness of purpose.

What will make 2013 any different than the previous year’s resolutions? I believe that the one thing that will make the difference is PERSPECTIVE. How do we interpret our resolutions/goals? A goal is different than a resolution. A goal is a game plan to fulfill a resolution. Many times we make the resolution and forget to put the plan together.

So, our focus today is to redefine our plans so our resolutions will become our reality.

1 Peter 9:10 “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises if Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

Read this and record the statements of value declared concerning you. Make a point of really studying and meditating on this scripture, digging more deeply into the truths revealed.

Today is most interesting as I process the events of 2012 and all that awaits me in 2013. Life is full of choices. We have the freedom to create our goals and to do lists. What will be different in the New Year? I am reminded that when I focus on growing myself, things around me grow – relationships, business, community, the church. My one focus has will continue to be is to honor God by using the gifts He has given me. Worship Him by allowing Him to work in and through me. Ask Him what He needs from me each day and pray each day, all throughout  the day, giving thanks, offering petitions and praising Him for His goodness, mercy and grace. Everything else will fall into place.
